At least 72 hours of training with a Feng Shui Master is required for admission to the Feng Shui Institute of the Midwest as a Practitioner Member. A minimum of 54 hours of practical Feng Shui experience, in consultations and/or teaching, is a further requirement for admission to the Institute.
Once received and processed by the Membership Coordinator, an application to the Institute will be forwarded to the Vice President for timely arrangement of an oral interview. The interview will be conducted by three appointed members of the Institute (President, Vice President, and one other) each quarter. A standardized list of questions will be used for consistency in the interview process. The purpose of the interview is to understand more about the applicant's knowledge and practice of Feng Shui, and to introduce and provide greater information about the Institute and its members. No application fee is required.
As a Practitioner Member you will receive a listing on the FSIM website Practitioner Directory which is linked to the member's E-mail address and personal website, as well as a listing on other printed materials. Practitioner-owned businesses that provide products and supplies will also receive a free link on FSIM's Member Resources and Feng Shui Products web pages. In addition, Practitioner Members can participate in all conferences and expositions at which FSIM has a presence, providing a forum to make new contacts and promote your Feng Shui business. Practitioner Members are also invited to write articles for FSIM's "Hot Topics". Admission to the FSIM annual and quarterly meetings is included at this membership level.
Payment of full Practitioner Membership dues is required upon application acceptance.
