We are please to have Amy Theisen and Carole Hyder both presenting at our 2024 Annual meeting!
Amy will share information about Qi Men Dun Jia, specifically the Guardians of Destinyand how they play a role in our lives. She will share the visiting Guardian for each person in 2024 and how to connect with it or what it can be adding to our lives for the year.
When you register for the event, your registration confirmation will request that you email Amy with your birthdate and time (year, month, day, hour) and she will email you a pdf of your Natal Qi Men Chart. During her presentation, Amy will share how to find your personal Guardian of Destiny and the location it “resides,” as well as how to connect with them. Deadline to request your Natal Qi Men Chart is 1/2/2024, so register early!
Also, Carole Hyder will again present on the energy of the upcoming year - The Year of the Wood Dragon, which we always look forward to!
As a bonus, Amy and Carole will discuss how the new Feng Shui Period 9 will impact us all!

Qi Men Dun Jia, The Guardians of Destiny by Amy Theisen
Qi Men Dun Jia (Chee-Men-Dune-Jaw) is an elegant and high-level divination system that is one of the parents of Feng Shui. The translated meaning of Qi Men Dun Jia is roughly “Mystical Door hiding the Chief.”
Many techniques of Metaphysics, including Feng Shui and BaZi Astrology, use the concept of the Cosmic Trinity: Heaven-Earth-Man. Qi Men introduces us to the world of Spirit or Universal Energy which means embracing the concept of Heaven-Earth-Man-Spirit.
There are many uses of Qi Men and at the FSIM meeting, we will be working with one aspect referred to as The Guardians. This is the spiritual aspect of Qi Men and is best described as a piece of Divine Source that is located within you. The Guardians are The God Spark that resides in each of us, connecting us to Higher Intelligence or what we may refer to as God.
Your Personal Guardian Of Destiny is how God expresses through you and with you most strongly. It is influencing your life whether you believe or do not believe, or whether you choose to use or not use. The secret is to begin establishing a relationship with your Guardian energies (or God Spark energies) and learn how to connect and direct the energy to work in your favor, and on your behalf at all times.
I am honored to introduce you to your personal Guardian and teach you how to connect with them in the clearest way. We will also highlight the Guardian that is influencing you for 2024 and what it means for your life focus and the actions you may wish to pursue.
Let’s begin creating a spiritual mind and a spiritual life of abundance and happiness. Learn how to use your Guardian to effectively raise your vibration, intuition, and ability to manifest as we head into the new 20-year energy cycle of Period 9.
Amy Theisen (pronounced Tyson) comes to Chinese Metaphysics from a background in microbiology, technology, and science teaching. She was the Director of Distance Learning at the University of Minnesota’s Bell Museum of Natural History, where the program she created won the equivalent of an Emmy for Science Learning. Her work was rewarding, but it was also taxing on her health. In 1999, she finally backed away to take care of herself and her family and established her home office. She was recruited to be the Network Manager for the JASON Project, an international science program run by Dr. Robert Ballard, the scientist who discovered the wreckage of the Titanic.
In 2004, she was introduced to Feng Shui through a series of serendipitous events. When her husband wished to opt-out of a Feng Shui retreat he had signed up for, she willingly took his place. After learning Western Feng Shui and meditation at this retreat and other classes, she knew there had to be more to the story and began studying with Dato Joey Yap of the Mastery Academy of Chinese Metaphysics in Malaysia.
Her studies took her across the United State, Canada, China, Malaysia, and Singapore. In 2008, She earned her master’s degrees in both Feng Shui and BaZi (Destiny Analysis) from the Mastery Academy. She continues to deepen her knowledge in all aspects of Chinese Metaphysics including extensive coursework in Qi Men Dun Jia and Strategic Date Selection with Dato Joey and other gifted instructors at MA. Growing her consulting company over the years, she realized that her true burning desire is to assist those who are ready to design their life destiny connected beautifully to Divine Source. She teaches her clients and students how to unlock the secret code of aligning to Divine Intuition which results in igniting a life not just of accomplishment, but of fulfillment. Amy provides courses, seminars, and consulting through her company Infinity Life Design located in the rolling countryside just outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is a business owner, mentor, mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. She believes in the power of positive thought and the power of personal responsibility. Her guiding motto is “Your destiny awaits, so what are you waiting for?” |

Over the past few years we have been advertising the need for additional FSIM Board members. It is now clear that it is CRITICAL for these positions to be filled for FSIM to continue as an organization!
We’ve asked new Board members to commit for at least two years. Most of the existing Board members have volunteered for over seven years. After Debbie leaves the Board in January, we will be down to four Board members doing the work of nine.
We are looking for people to fill all positions. We’d be happy to discuss your skill sets and how they can contribute to our organization.

If you are not already an FSIM Practitioner or Friend member, go to: fsim.org/Membershipinformation and register as a member today; your membership will allow you to register for the annual meeting at the member rate ($0) and receive the gift package at no additional cost.
Your membership will cover all FSIM events for one year (additional special events could be subject to charge). Even if you aren't a Practitioner, the Friend Membership is a great deal, as the $72 fee covers the annual meeting and each of the quarterly meetings for one year (from the date of your membership); you would otherwise pay $81 to pay separately for each meeting.
Note: The FSIM Friend membership level is open to all; the FSIM Practitioner membership level has eligibility requirements. See the FSIM Membership page for further information on membership levels and fees.
