A playful, fun time was had by all learning about the 5 Chinese Elementsand how they can guide you in the section of clothing that is truly "you." FSIM was one of the sponsors to the Fashion-Felines-Feng Shui Event at Scarborough Fair Shop last Saturday. What an exquisite place to find that unexpected outfit or accessory for that special occasion. It was a wonderful setting for Carole Hyder's, FSIM President Emerita, Fashion Feng Shui presentation. We had the pleasure of hearing about the reason for this fundraiser - Caring for Cats a non-profit, no kill, all-volunteer shelter, and foster network, rescuing and caring for cats and kittens.
We learned about how the 5 Chinese Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water) show up in how we dress. Some people gravitate toward one element, some to many or all elements. The Importance of Dowsing
By Annette Rugolo A friend of mine, a Feng Shui practitioner, was very frustrated one day during our visit. She had recently completed a feng shui appointment and within days, things became worse for her client. The client reported having bad dreams, waking up tired and experiencing a complete lack of motivation. My friend tried a few additional feng shui adjustments but nothing seemed to work. I asked my friend if she had rearranged the bedroom for the client. When she responded, "Yes", I asked her to draw a diagram of her client's bedroom. I 'tuned into' the energy of the room and discovered that she had moved her client into a negative field of energy known as a negative vortex.
So instead of things getting better with good Feng Shui placement, things got worse because of the negative energy of the space.
At the end of one of the first dowsing classes I ever taught, one of the attendees, who was also a Feng Shui practitioner, came up with this analogy: "To Feng Shui a home without dowsing it, is like ironing a dirty dress."
As a dowser, I also know the importance of applying feng shui principles to my dowsing consultations. I can clear the negative energy of their home but if their front door is on an empty line or temple line, for example, they won't get the results they were hoping for.
The results are truly transformational when bringing these two ancient sciences together!
For those not familiar with dowsing, I describe it as a technique that helps us find something that we cannot see with our physical eyes. The tool that we use can be dowsing rods, a pendulum or even branches of a tree. When I talk about the technique of dowsing to people, many have heard of water witching, a process that helps farmers find where to dig their wells.
The same principle applies to the type of dowsing I have done since 2005. In this case, however, I'm looking for sources of negative energy in a space that have a negative impact on the people living there.
The dowsing method I use, Diamond Dowsing, not only finds these negative sources of energy but also cures them, creating a beautiful, uplifting space that enhances everything else they do. I believe dowsing as an energetic springboard that helps people amplify and expand who they are and what they wish to accomplish.

Face Reading or physiognomy has been practiced for thousands of years. It means interpreting facial structure to learn about the inner person. Every face is perfect and reveals in its shape both our gifts and our challenges. I like to call our facial structure our "soul print". This information will empower the participant in situations where we often feel less than powerful - relationships, both therapeutic and personal, sitting on either side of the interview table, in team meetings and, just for the fun of it, the dating game.
Through lecture, discussion, and group exercises, participants in this 2-hour workshop will understand the history of Physiognomy, explore the therapeutic use in building relationships and in understanding work preferences and learning styles.
Ralph Dehner, BS, COTA/L is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with a degree in Holistic Studies/Wellness Management and is a regular presenter at local, state and international conferences. In 2005, Ralph completed his studies in Physiognomy with best- selling author and international lecturer Rose Rosetree. He has done Physiognomy workshops and presentations at the Ohio Occupational Therapy Conference, throughout the United States as well as in Seoul, So. Korea and Sidney, Australia. Ralph has consulted with HR departments on hiring decisions and diversity training.
Ralph also is a Certified Tai Chi Master/Trainer and Qi Gong Instructor and Master/Teacher and practitioner of several forms of energy healing techniques and holds regular workshops to train health care providers and other interested people. |
